DPAR celebrates World Day of Consecrated Life

February 2, 2023. The Diocese of Pagadian Association of Religious (DPAR) celebrated this day in Josefina at the Poor Clares Monastery with an inspiring talk by his Most Rev. Ronald Lunas, STL DD.

This was followed by the Holy Mass concelebrated by several priests from the OFMs, SCJs and the Spiritan Fathers. A renewal of vows and the induction of new officers also took place before the end of the holy eucharist.
A sumptuous agape followed at the Franciscan Spirituality Center. It was a beautiful and happy day of renewing the bonds of friendship with one another.

Pope Saint John Paul II instituted this day of prayer for women and men in consecrated life.
attached to the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord on February 2. This Feast is also known as Candlemas Day; the day on which candles are blessed symbolizing Christ who is the light of the world. So too, those in consecrated life are called to reflect the light of Jesus Christ to all peoples.
