Diocese of Pagadian Association Of Religious (DPAR)
DESCRIPTION
DPAR is an association of religious men and women coming from different Religious Congregations missioned in the Diocese of Pagadian. Previously, there was only the Women Association of Religious (WRAP) and the men religious participated in the regular Diocesan Clergy meetings. However, there was a felt need to have a closer collaboration among the religious men and women to share a common dream and aspirations in the mission of spreading the Gospel values and in promoting more vocations to the consecrated life according to the different charisms they offer for the life of the Church in the Diocese of Pagadian. Hence, it was only in the year 2021 when the name DPAR officially emerged. From then on, it has realized common activities together and has forged solidarity, friendship and camaraderie with each other.

IMPACT TO THE COMMUNITY
- The members of the Association conducted a day of prayer and reflection done on the Consecrated Life Day every February 2, 2021. Heeding the call of Pope Francis to convoke the synod of Bishops in 2023, they reflected on the spirituality and theology of synodality. They were also consulted as part of synodal consultation process.
- Some members of the Association literally went to the peripheries as they climbed the mountain of Nangan-nangan to meet the Subanen community. With the presence of the religious men and women in their community, the Subanen felt they saw the face of Church coming closer to them.
- Religious men and Women participated in the month-long Diocesan wide vocation awareness and promotion. Sharing their vocation stories and introducing their congregation’s charisms, many young people were amazed how the gifts of the Holy Spirit are active in the Church’s missionary works. According to their charism and discernment, young people can choose which congregations rightly fit for them.
- The Association actively participated in the celebration of the Mindanao Week of Peace and the call to care for the Mother Earth through their tree planting activity.
