The Diocese of Pagadian joyfully celebrated its Golden Jubilee at the Santo Niño Cathedral Parish last November 12, 2021. The important event began with the launching whereby the winners of the logo and song writing contest were officially presented to the whole community present. The attractive and symbolic logo made by Neil Owen Jandugan capturing the theme “New Heart, New Spirit” along with the beautiful and inspiring song Kita Ang Simbahan composed by Fr. Belstar Ediang, STL therefore becomes the official logo and song to be used by the Diocese of Pagadian throughout the celebration of the Golden Jubilee that will end in November 2023.
The solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided by the Most Rev. Ronald I. Lunas, STL, DD and concelebrated by the clergy from the different parishes and religious institutions. It was very well attended by the religious sisters, seminarians from the Holy Infant Seminary, the theologians from St. Mary Theologate in Ozamiz, the lay people from the different organizations and ministries of the diocese.
This is truly a golden milestone and a time of grace for the Diocese of Pagadian! It is a time of great rejoicing and thanksgiving to God for the countless blessings received and shared, most specially for the priceless gift of faith, hope and love handed down from one generation of missionaries to a new generation of Spirit filled community of believers.
