Installation Mass of the
Confraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help

Our Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel (Bishop’s Chapel)
Ballesteros Village, Balangasan District, Pagadian City

It was an extraordinary 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time at the Bishop’s Chapel early during the 6:00 AM mass because of the Installation of fifty-one new members to the Confraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help here in Diocese of Pagadian. This is a worldwide spiritual organization whose members are united for the expressed purpose of honoring and serving the Mother of God under the special title of “Our Mother of Perpetual Help. The Holy Eucharist was presided by his Most Rev. Ronald Lunas, STL DD, concelebrated by Bishop Emeritus Emmanuel Cabajar, CSsR, DD, and two other Redemptorist priests from Cebu: Fr. Bert Cepe, CSsR and Fr. Pio Obana Makabenta, CSsR along with Rev. Fr. Oliver Janohan.

The installation rite led by Fr. Bert Cepe, CSsR began with the blessing of the Mother of Perpetual Help medals, and given to all the new members present. The new member, while holding a lighted candle, made their solemn promise of consecrating themselves to Our Mother of Perpetual Help. The majority of the new members are actively serving at the Bishop’s Chapel as lectors, commentators, choir members and as adorers. Six members come from the Inahan sa Kanunayng Panabang in Tigbao, the sub-parish of San Isidro Labrador in Dumalinao.

With the formal rite of acceptance to the Confraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, it is hoped that the devotion and love of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in our diocese will grow and spread even more. Her feast day is celebrated on June 27 with novena devotions held every Wednesday.

Congratulations ug padayon sa tanan!
